Enchanting Twin Towns
With whitewashed houses cascading down winding mountain roads and gorgeous scenery that balances turquoise waters to the south and high mountains to the north, it’s no wonder that the seaside towns of Kaş and Kalkan have bewitched many a traveler over the years. These cozy, less-touristy towns have retained the enchanting Mediterranean atmosphere from their time under Greek occupation, and each have their own amazing beaches, historical sites, and unique boutiques to explore. Slow travel is encouraged here, one more commonality these two towns share. For romantic and peaceful getaways, look no further.
Idyllic Coastal Gems

Almost too beautiful to be believed, Kaş and Kalkan can be described as fraternal twin towns, two Greek-influenced gems on the Turkish Riviera that each have their own story to tell. Both towns boast a lively nightlife that prioritizes connection with others, good food and drink, and enjoying the atmosphere, rather than touristy nightclubs. In either town you’ll be spoiled for choice of scenic fine dining options, boutiques selling wares ranging from ceramics to art galleries, and even gorgeous linen boutique clothing stores.
Incredibly idyllic, Kaş combines a charming downtown with historical sites, all framed by the bright blue of the Turkish coast. A walk down Kaş’ Uzun Carsi street can only be described as magical, as you pass colorful houses with wooden balconies dripping with flowers. Kaş Marina is an excellent place for scuba diving, with over 20 spots to dive in, and plenty of beautiful endangered plants and marine animals to discover.
Kalkan sits in the foothills of the Taurus mountains, an old fishing town full of charming shops, colorful painted steps, and streets framed by bougainvillea. Kalkan has been compared to the Italian Riviera thanks to its chic beach clubs, 13 in total, turquoise coves, and vibrant town.
